You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Tyreek Hill is still a free agent, but a civil jury just handed him something he needed — a mixed verdict that stops well short of full liability. The decision doesn't clear his name entirely, but it removes the kind of legal cloud that could have kept NFL teams completely away. Hill has made no secret of wanting back on a roster, and this verdict keeps that door open.
Shifting to the betting lines, CBS Sports analyst Tyler Sullivan is out with his Week six picks, and he's going bold — calling for the Panthers to stun the Eagles in Philadelphia and the Buccaneers to pull off an upset. Sullivan has five locks against the spread this week, and if he's right about Carolina in Philly, that alone would turn some heads around the league.
And off the field, Terry Bradshaw is signaling the end of an era. The four-time Super Bowl champion and longtime Fox NFL Sunday fixture told NBC News Daily that his time on television as a sports broadcaster is coming to an end. Bradshaw is seventy-eight, promoting a new memoir called Looking for Terry, and it sounds like he's doing exactly that — figuring out what comes next.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
