You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Jose Ramirez did what Jose Ramirez does. Down two games to none against the White Sox, the Guardians clawed back and Ramirez put the exclamation point on the comeback with a deciding two-run homer, punching Cleveland's ticket to the American League Championship Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Speaking of that ALCS, the stage is officially set. Cleveland and Tampa Bay will square off with a World Series berth on the line, and after watching Ramirez dismantle the White Sox, the Rays have to know they're walking into something dangerous on the north shore of Lake Erie.
And shifting to the gridiron, mark your calendars for October seventeenth. Wisconsin travels to Pasadena to face number twenty-two UCLA at the Rose Bowl, with kickoff set for six-thirty in the evening on NBC. It's the Badgers' first appearance at that historic stadium since losing the two thousand twenty Rose Bowl, and they'll want to write a different ending this time around.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
