Andy Dalton is out in Philadelphia. The veteran quarterback has been released by the Eagles after losing his backup role following a costly interception in the Bears game. It's a quiet exit for a long career, and the Eagles move forward with their depth chart reshuffled.
Speaking of Chicago, the Bears are managing some real concern heading into Sunday's matchup against Green Bay. Running back Kyle Monangai has been ruled out, and more importantly, Caleb Williams is listed as questionable after being limited in Friday's practice. If Williams can't go against the Packers, that's a significant storyline in an already heated NFC North rivalry.
And over in Washington, the basketball world is buzzing about the Wizards. AJ Dybantsa, Trae Young, and Anthony Davis made their debut together in preseason action, and the early returns are generating genuine excitement. For a franchise that hasn't had a legitimate core in years, the two thousand twenty six to twenty seven season is suddenly something worth watching.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
