Week five NFL action is loaded, and the storylines are already writing themselves. Bears and Packers, Niners and Seahawks, sixteen games deep with everything on the line — our full breakdown has picks, predictions, and the nuggets you need before kickoff Sunday.

Shifting to the hardwood, the Knicks are putting contract talks on ice. New York has officially tabled extension discussions with Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart until later in the season, saying the focus right now is solely on preparing to compete. Whether that signals leverage plays or genuine prioritization, both players head into the year without long-term security locked in.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
