You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
Toronto is walking away from the Kevin Gausman trade looking very smart indeed. The Blue Jays locked up a proven ace while the Cubs got the shorter end of the stick, and two clear reasons explain why Toronto made out like bandits in this deal — pitching depth and long-term value.
Meanwhile down in Los Angeles, the Dodgers are making headlines for something that has nothing to do with their bats. The playoff atmosphere at Chavez Ravine now includes a one hundred twenty five dollar burger that's breaking the internet. Fans are stunned, some are eating it anyway, and honestly, at Dodger Stadium prices, should anyone be surprised?
And over in Jacksonville, the Jaguars are drawing a comparison to the Bills and the Chiefs that is turning heads across the league. Bold? Sure. But apparently Jacksonville has done enough on the field to deserve being mentioned in the same breath as two of the AFC's premier franchises, and that is not a conversation anyone saw coming.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
