Manchester United are in genuine crisis mode. Michael Carrick's tenure looks to be hanging by a thread after a brutal three-nil hammering at Bournemouth left the Red Devils sitting sixteenth in the table, just a single point clear of the drop zone. The problem is, sacking him may create more headaches than it solves.
Shifting to the continent, El Clasico delivered exactly the kind of tension you'd expect, but it was José Mourinho who set the tone before a ball was even kicked. The Special One arrived at Camp Nou with his trademark psychological warfare fully loaded, throwing cold water on Barcelona's momentum and making his Real Madrid side believe they belonged in that stadium on equal footing.
And if you want pure drama, nothing this weekend topped Lahore. Pakistan were staring down the barrel at one hundred fifty four for nine, chasing two hundred forty two, when Shadab Khan walked off the field and England started celebrating. Then a review flipped everything on its head, and Pakistan somehow clawed out a one-wicket win in the ODI tri-series. Absolutely stunning scenes at Gaddafi Stadium.
