In Toronto, Jamal Shead is staying put. The Raptors guard has agreed to a three-year, twenty-four million dollar extension, locking in one of the league's most promising young floor generals. It's a calculated investment from a franchise that clearly sees Shead as a cornerstone of whatever they're building next.
Shifting to the gridiron, the Cowboys have acquired cornerback Joey Porter Junior from Pittsburgh in a move that turns heads on both sides of the trade. Dallas gets a physical, high-upside corner who fits their defensive identity, while the Steelers lose a starter and now face real questions in their secondary heading into the heart of the season. Contract extension talks for Porter will be worth watching closely.
And the story everybody is circling right now — Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are one win from elimination as they face A'ja Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in a winner-take-all Game Three. Wilson has been a force all series, but Clark has shown she doesn't shrink in moments like this. This is exactly the kind of playoff collision that defines a sport's trajectory, and tip-off cannot come soon enough.
