Meanwhile in Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs survived a genuine scare against Indianapolis, pulling out a thirty-three to thirty overtime thriller on Sunday Night Football. It was Kenneth Walker the Third who carried the load — one hundred seventeen rushing yards, sixty-one receiving, and a clutch catch late in overtime that sealed Kansas City's second win in as many weeks. The Colts, who traded for Sauce Gardner last November hoping to contend, are now spiraling in the wrong direction.
And up in Chicago, the Bears' home opener turned into a nightmare on multiple fronts.
