**2 Chronicles 15:8** β *"When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjaminβ¦ He then restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the portico of the LORD's temple."*
Asa did not act on a feeling. He acted on a word received.
The courage came *after* the prophecy landed β not before. That sequence matters. Scripture reminds us that reformation rarely begins with boldness; it begins with ears willing to hear, and a will that follows through. Asa dismantled what was false, then rebuilt what was sacred. Both movements were necessary.
Consider the altars in your own stewardship β the ones grown cold, the ones cluttered with what should have been cleared long ago.
Restoration always begins with removal. And removal always begins with the courage to believe what God has already spoken.
Walk with that today.
