**Ezekiel 28:1** โ *"And the word of the LORD came to me, saying..."*
Before a single accusation lands, before the prince of Tyre hears his indictment โ God speaks *to* Ezekiel first. The word arrives as covenant intimacy before it becomes prophetic confrontation.
This is the pattern throughout Scripture. God does not dispatch messengers cold. He draws them close, commissions them in relationship, and *then* sends the word outward. Consider Moses at the burning bush. Consider Isaiah's coal-touched lips. The message always flows from the encounter.
What this means practically: you cannot steward a word you have not received in stillness. The prophet's credibility was not his boldness โ it was his proximity to the voice.
Walk with the One who still speaks. Dwell long enough in His presence that when the word comes to *you*, you recognize whose voice it is.
*The word of the LORD came โ let us reflect on whether we have made room to receive it.*
