**Isaiah 15:9** β€” *"The waters of Dimon are full of blood, but I will bring more upon Dimonβ€”a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon the remnant of the land."*

Moab thought flight was strategy. Pack what you can carry, cross the border, outrun the consequence. But Isaiah's oracle is unflinching: the lion meets the fugitive at the next stop.

This is not cruelty from God β€” it is covenant faithfulness in its sterner form. Moab had long scorned Israel's God. The judgment that follows is proportional, purposeful, and complete. Blood in the waters. A lion at the border. No corridor of escape that God has not already seen.

Scripture reminds us that mercy and judgment are not opposites β€” they are twin expressions of a God who will not be mocked and will not be outrun.

Walk with that sobering truth today: the same God who pursues the fugitive in wrath pursues the repentant in grace.
