**Psalms 18:26** — *"to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd."*
There is a mirror quality to how God meets us. Not because He changes — He does not — but because the posture of our heart determines what we perceive of Him.
The pure-hearted shepherd David wrote this from hard experience. He had seen men twist covenant mercy into license and find, to their ruin, that God's wisdom outmaneuvered every crooked scheme. He had also known what it was to walk in integrity and find God's character luminous and near.
This is not karma. This is *covenant perception* — the soul trained toward holiness begins to recognize the holy God more clearly, while the soul bent inward sees only resistance and mystery.
Scripture reminds us in Matthew 5:8: *"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."*
