**Ezekiel 2:1** โ *"Son of man," He said to me, "stand up on your feet and I will speak to you."*
Ezekiel is on the ground โ undone by the weight of God's glory โ and the first thing the Lord does is call him upright. Not to shame him. Not to rush past the encounter. But because the Word that follows requires a standing man.
There is a covenant pattern here worth holding: God does not speak His commission into our collapse. He raises us first. The posture precedes the purpose.
This is the shepherd's rhythm โ mercy before mission. Ezekiel had to *stand* before he could *go*. The same is true for any who have been leveled by grief, failure, or the sheer weight of their calling.
By grace, you are not left on the ground. The voice that spoke to Ezekiel still speaks โ and it still calls the fallen to their feet before it calls them forward.
Let us reflect on what it means to *rise* before we *run*.
