**Amos 1:12** โ *"So I will send fire upon Teman to consume the citadels of Bozrah."*
Edom's citadels were not built of stone alone โ they were built on the assumption that bloodline and geography made them untouchable. Descended from Esau, neighboring Israel, they watched Jerusalem fall and said nothing. Worse, they aided the enemy. God noticed.
The fire sent upon Bozrah was not random wrath. It was covenant accountability โ the same relational standard God holds His own people to, extended outward. Proximity to grace is not a shield from it.
Scripture reminds us: stewardship of what we *know* is itself a form of responsibility. Edom knew. They had seen the covenant up close. And silence in the face of a brother's suffering is its own kind of fire-inviting posture.
Walk with that sobering truth today โ those nearest to the light are held to its standard.
