**Acts 24:17** โ€” *"After several years, then, I returned to Jerusalem to bring alms to my people and to present offerings."*

Paul had been away. Persecuted, shipwrecked, misunderstood โ€” and yet when the season turned, he carried something back with him: provision for others and worship for God. Not empty-handed. Not self-focused.

This is the posture of a faithful steward. The sojourn had a purpose beyond survival. The years abroad had been *gathering* years โ€” so that the return could be a *giving* year.

Consider the shape of your own seasons. Proverbs 3:9 calls us to *"honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops."* And Paul, battered but faithful, lived exactly that โ€” returning to his kindred with open hands.

The covenant life is never merely received. It is carried forward, offered back, pressed into the hands of those who need it most.

Let us reflect on what we are meant to bring home.
