**2 Chronicles 6:5** โ *"Since the day I brought My people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house so that My Name would be there, nor have I chosen anyone to be ruler over My people Israel."*
Solomon speaks these words at the Temple's dedication โ and notice what God *withheld* for centuries. No city. No king. Not yet.
This was not absence. This was covenant patience.
God's timing in the wilderness was never delay โ it was formation. He was shaping a people before He named a place. He was cultivating faithfulness before crowning leadership.
We often yearn for the destination when the Lord is still tending the soil of our character.
The Name of God does not dwell in structures we rush to build โ it dwells where He has prepared to abide.
Walk with that truth today, beloved. Let us reflect on what He may still be forming in us before the appointed moment arrives.
