**Exodus 23:20** โ€” *"Behold, I am sending an angel before you to protect you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared."*

Israel had not yet taken a single step toward Canaan. The wilderness was still ahead โ€” unmapped, unforgiving, full of threat. Yet before the sandal touched the sand, God had already stationed a messenger, already prepared a destination.

This is the covenant rhythm of God: provision precedes the path.

The Hebrew *mal'ak* โ€” messenger, angel โ€” carries the weight of divine commission. This was not a comfort sent after Israel cried out. It was sent *before*. Preemptive grace. A Shepherd who walks ahead so His flock need not walk blind.

Walk with that truth today. The place He is bringing you to โ€” He has already been there. Your sojourn is held within His preparation.

Let us reflect on what it means to be led by One who is always already there.
