**Numbers 18:12** โ *"I give you all the freshest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain that the Israelites give to the LORD as their firstfruits."*
The firstfruits weren't the leftovers. They were the *freshest*, the *finest* โ offered before the harvest was even complete, before the full yield was known. That took covenant trust.
God spoke these words to Aaron as a priestly provision โ the best of what Israel brought to the LORD flowed directly to those who served the altar. The steward received what the worshiper consecrated.
There is something worth sitting with here: what we withhold from God, we often also withhold from those He has appointed to shepherd us. Generosity in worship ripples outward.
Scripture reminds us that the firstfruits principle was never merely agricultural โ it was a declaration of who holds the harvest.
Walk with that today. Consider what remains unconsecrated on your threshing floor.
