**Isaiah 22:9** โ€” *"You saw that there were many breaches in the walls of the City of David. You collected water from the lower pool."*

Jerusalem's leaders surveyed the damage and reached for logistics โ€” cisterns, infrastructure, strategic reserves. What they bypassed was the One who had warned them. Isaiah's grief wasn't over the crumbling stone. It was over a people who could assess a crisis with precision yet miss its Author entirely.

We are often the same. We steward our resources well under pressure. We shore up what is broken with capable hands. And still, the deeper breach โ€” the one between our plans and God's counsel โ€” goes unexamined.

Scripture reminds us that wisdom begins not in the lower pool but at the Source above it. Proverbs 3:5 holds: *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."*

Let us reflect on which walls we are repairing โ€” and whether we have first sought the Shepherd who sees them all.
