**Ezekiel 20:15** β€” *"Moreover, with an uplifted hand I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given themβ€”a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands."*

The oath here is not a withdrawal of love. It is the weight of covenant kept β€” even when the consequence cuts deep.

God had promised a land. He had also promised that covenant faithfulness was the path into it. When Israel broke that faithfulness, God did not abandon His word. He honored *all* of it β€” the promise *and* the warning.

This is the God we serve: One whose mercy does not cancel His holiness, and whose discipline does not cancel His mercy. Both stand, uplifted hand and open heart together.

The milk and honey were never revoked. A new generation would drink from them. The glory of the land waited for those who would walk in covenant faithfulness.

Let us reflect on what it means to steward the promises we have been given.
