β€œThey will destroy the walls of Tyre and demolish her towers. I will scrape the soil from her and make her a bare rock.” β€” Ezekiel 26:4.

As we contemplate the fate of Tyre, a bustling city known for its wealth and grandeur, we witness the profound truth of God’s sovereignty over nations and cities. This prophecy serves as a stark reminder that no empire, no matter how fortified, can stand against the will of the Lord. The destruction of Tyre symbolizes not just physical ruin, but a divine call to humility and reliance on God.

In our own lives, we may build walls of ambition or pride, thinking they provide safety and success. Yet, when we encounter trials that dismantle these illusions, we are given the opportunity to return to the foundation of Christ, who is our Rock. Let us dwell on what remains when all else is stripped away and find our identity not in earthly achievements, but in His steadfast grace.

May we reflect on our own structures and ask what needs to be laid bare before Him.
