**Isaiah 1:25** โ *"I will turn My hand against you; I will thoroughly purge your dross; I will remove all your impurities."*
The silversmith does not hate the metal when he holds it to the flame. He is *after* something โ the pure substance beneath the contamination.
This is covenant discipline, not abandonment. God's hand turning *against* Israel was, paradoxically, His hand still upon her. The dross He names here โ idolatry, injustice, hollow worship โ had accumulated slowly, almost invisibly. Yet He saw it all, and He moved with precision.
Consider the seasons in your own walk when resistance came from an unexpected direction. When a door closed firmly. When something you held tightly was drawn away.
The Refiner does not purge what He does not value. He purges what He intends to keep.
Walk with that truth today โ the pressure you feel may be the very evidence of His faithfulness toward you.
