**2 Kings 11:16** — *"So they seized Athaliah as she reached the horses' entrance to the palace grounds, and there she was put to death."*
Six years she ruled through fear, having slaughtered her own grandchildren to secure a throne that was never hers. Six years — while the true heir, young Joash, was hidden in the house of God, tended by faithful hands (2 Kings 11:3).
