**Joshua 5:8** โ *"And after all the nation had been circumcised, they stayed there in the camp until they were healed."*
The Jordan was behind them. Canaan stretched ahead. And God said: *wait*.
This is not a story about delay โ it is a story about covenant renewal before conquest. Israel could not enter their inheritance still carrying the mark of Egypt's neglect. The sign of the covenant had to be restored *before* the land could be received.
Healing here was not passive. It was preparation โ the body made whole, the people made ready, the covenant sealed in flesh before the first step forward.
We often press toward what God has promised while still carrying wounds that require stillness. The camp at Gilgal was not a setback. It was consecration.
By grace, what looks like a pause in your walk may be the very ground where God is making you ready to receive what He has already promised.
Let us reflect on what healing He may be completing in us right now.
