**Revelation 20:12** โ *"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And books were opened, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books."*
Notice what John does not write: he does not say the powerful stood first. Great and small โ the emperor and the servant, the theologian and the shepherd's child โ all stand as equals before that throne. Every deed recorded. Every act of mercy, every moment of hidden cruelty, every covenant kept or broken in private.
This is not a passage meant to terrify the beloved โ it is meant to reorient us. The books do not surprise God. They testify to what we already know about ourselves in our quietest hours.
Walk today as one whose record is already open before an all-knowing, all-merciful Judge โ and let that awareness shape every small act of stewardship you carry into this day.
