**Hebrews 4:1** โ€” *"Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it."*

The wilderness generation heard the same promise we hold today โ€” and missed it. Not from lack of knowledge, but from a hardened posture toward trust. The writer of Hebrews calls us to *sobriety*, not fear โ€” a watchful stewardship of the covenant grace extended to us.

God's rest is not a reward earned through exhaustion. It is a dwelling entered through faith โ€” the same faith that Caleb and Joshua carried when others turned back.

Scripture reminds us that the promise still *stands*. Present tense. Active. Waiting.

Let us be careful โ€” not anxious, but attentive โ€” that we do not treat the open door of God's rest as something to visit later, when life slows down.

It may not wait for a more convenient season.
