**Jonah 4:11** โ€” *"Should I not care about the great city of Nineveh, which has more than 120,000 people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well?"*

God's closing word to Jonah is not a command โ€” it is a question. A tender, piercing question aimed at a prophet who had preached repentance to an entire city, then sat outside it hoping to watch it burn.

Notice what God counts: not temples, not tithes, not theology. He counts the disoriented โ€” those who cannot tell their right hand from their left. The spiritually confused. The morally untethered. And then, with characteristic mercy, *the cattle*.

Jonah's covenant calling was never about his comfort with the recipients of grace.

Neither is ours.

God's care extends to the city we have written off, the neighbor we have categorized, the people we have decided are too far gone.

Let us reflect on who we are sitting outside of, waiting for judgment that God has already withheld.
