**Zechariah 9:8** β€” *"But I will camp around My house because of an army, because of those who march to and fro, and never again will an oppressor overrun My people, for now I keep watch with My own eyes."*

The Hebrew word *őāmar* β€” "I keep watch" β€” carries the weight of a sentinel who never sleeps, never blinks, never delegates. This is not distant providence. This is God planting His presence like a garrison between His people and whatever advances against them.

Zechariah wrote this to a community rebuilding after exile β€” exhausted, exposed, wondering if the walls would ever hold. The Lord's answer was not stronger walls. It was Himself.

Whatever presses against your household today β€” the slow erosion, the relentless opposition, the fear that no one sees β€” the Shepherd who kept watch over a returning remnant has not lowered His gaze.

Let us abide in that covenant confidence. β€” *oh7*
