**2 Chronicles 6:12** โ€” *"Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands."*

Before a single word of prayer left his lips, Solomon's posture spoke.

He did not approach the altar privately, nor did he lead from a distance. He stood *before* the assembly โ€” visible, accountable, hands open. A king making himself small before the covenant God of Israel, in full view of those he was called to shepherd.

This is what faithful leadership looks like: not performance, but transparency. Not hidden devotion while projecting confidence to the crowd โ€” but the same man, the same hands, the same surrender, offered openly.

Stewards of households, congregations, and communities carry this same invitation. The altar is not a private room. It is where we bring our whole selves โ€” before God *and* among His people.

Walk openly. Lead humbly. Let your open hands testify to what your heart already knows.
