**Leviticus 26:32** โ *"And I will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who dwell in it will be appalled."*
Even the enemies of Israel could not settle comfortably in a land under divine discipline. The desolation was so complete, so unmistakably sovereign, that foreign occupiers stood appalled โ unable to make it their own.
This is covenant faithfulness turned inside out. God's warnings were not empty threats. When His people abandoned the covenant, the land itself became a witness to His word.
Consider the weight of that: the very soil testified.
There is a sobering stewardship here โ what we are entrusted with does not exist in a vacuum. Land, family, calling, community โ these dwell under the same covenant logic. Faithfulness bears fruit. Prolonged rebellion hollows out even what seemed permanent.
Scripture reminds us that God's discipline is itself a form of mercy โ proof that His word stands, and that restoration remains possible for those who return.
Walk with that truth today.
