**Esther 9:30** โ€” *"And Mordecai sent letters with words of peace and truth to all the Jews in the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Xerxes."*

Notice what Mordecai chose to carry across those 127 provinces: not triumph, not vengeance, not a catalog of enemies defeated โ€” but *peace and truth*, bound together.

This is the discipline of a faithful steward. After the crisis. After the deliverance. When the temptation is to let victory speak for itself, Mordecai still reaches for words with intention and care.

Scripture reminds us that peace without truth is flattery, and truth without peace is a weapon. Mordecai refused both distortions. He wrote with the full weight of covenant faithfulness โ€” to scattered, weary, beloved people who needed both clarity and comfort.

Walk with that pairing today. Consider what words you carry into the rooms, inboxes, and conversations before you โ€” and whether they hold both.
