**Hebrews 10:33** โ€” *"Sometimes you were publicly exposed to ridicule and persecution; at other times you were partners with those who were so treated."*

The writer of Hebrews names something we rarely acknowledge: solidarity itself is a form of suffering. Standing beside the shamed one โ€” choosing not to look away โ€” cost these early believers their own reputations, their safety, their standing in the community.

This is not abstract courage. This is the merchant who still greets the excommunicated neighbor. The elder who sits beside the one the congregation has quietly abandoned.

Scripture reminds us that covenant love is not spectator love. To be a partner in another's persecution is to bear the weight of their cross alongside them โ€” which is precisely what Christ did for us.

Walk with someone today who is carrying what others refuse to touch. That act of presence is itself a testimony โ€” and Hebrews honors it as such.

Let us reflect on who we may be leaving to stand alone.
