**Mark 14:35** โ€” *"Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him."*

Notice the distance โ€” *a little farther*. Not far from His disciples. Not hidden. Just enough space to be alone with the Father in the weight of what was coming.

This is not a moment of wavering faith. This is perfect humanity yielded to perfect trust. The Son of God, face to the earth, holding nothing back from the Father โ€” not even His own dread.

We are often taught to present our prayers polished, composed, resolved. Yet here, at Gethsemane, the most faithful prayer ever prayed began with *if it were possible*.

Beloved, the Father does not require your certainty before He receives your cry. He receives you as you are โ€” trembling, honest, and still willing to abide in His will.

Let us reflect on what it means to pray without pretense.
