**Leviticus 11:35** โ *"If it is an oven or cooking pot, it must be smashed; it is unclean and will remain unclean for you."*
The oven wasn't ornamental โ it was survival. Bread. Warmth. Daily provision. And yet God said: smash it.
This is the weight of holiness in the covenant community. Contamination did not negotiate. It did not linger in the background while Israel carried on. The vessel had to go โ not because the oven was evil, but because God's people were called to a standard that refused compromise at the source.
Consider the places in your own stewardship โ habits, relationships, patterns โ where contamination has touched something once useful. Sometimes mercy looks like restoration. But sometimes, by grace, it looks like the courage to smash what can no longer serve the holy life you are called to walk.
Scripture reminds us: what we carry into God's presence matters.
Let us reflect on what we are still carrying.
