**Exodus 7:12** โ€” *"Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron's staff swallowed up the other staffs."*

Pharaoh's magicians could imitate the sign. That detail deserves careful attention. Counterfeit power is not powerless โ€” it is simply *bounded*. The serpents of Egypt moved and coiled and looked identical to Aaron's. But imitation has a ceiling, and God's word does not.

Aaron's staff swallowed theirs whole.

This is not a story about spectacle. It is a covenant declaration โ€” that what God ordains will ultimately consume what merely mimics it. The shepherd's staff, once a symbol of humble tending, became the instrument of divine supremacy in a foreign court.

Walk with that image today. Whatever you carry in faithful obedience โ€” however ordinary it appears beside more polished alternatives โ€” God has a way of vindicating what is truly His.

Scripture reminds us: imitation may enter the room, but it cannot hold the floor.
