**Deuteronomy 29:6** โ€” *"You ate no bread and drank no wine or strong drink, so that you might know that I am the LORD your God."*

Forty years. No harvest table. No vintage poured. The wilderness stripped Israel of every ordinary comfort โ€” not as punishment, but as revelation.

God removed the familiar so His presence could become the familiar.

We often seek Him most clearly *after* the table is cleared โ€” when the routines that once sustained us fall quiet, and we find ourselves standing in open desert, suddenly aware that we are not alone there.

The fast was not the lesson. The knowledge of God was.

Moses spoke these words to a generation preparing to enter abundance. Before they tasted Canaan's fruit, he wanted them to remember: the One who fed you without bread is the same One you will thank *with* bread.

Walk into your season of plenty carrying the testimony of the lean years. That is covenant memory. That is wisdom.
