**Numbers 22:20** โ€” *"Since these men have come to summon you, get up and go with them, but you must only do what I tell you."*

God did not stop Balaam from walking toward Moab. He permitted the road โ€” and then narrowed it to a single lane: *only what I tell you.*

This is the shape of divine permission. It does not always look like a closed door. Sometimes it looks like an open one with a covenant attached.

Balaam would soon discover that obedience is not merely about the destination โ€” it is about whose words fill your mouth when you arrive.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord grants latitude to His servants, but never surrenders His authority over their lips, their steps, or their purpose.

Walk with God long enough and you learn: the freedom He extends is always tethered to His faithfulness.

Consider the grace of a God who goes *with* you โ€” even when the road was not His first choice for you.
