Obed-edom did nothing to earn this. He was a Gittite, a foreigner, a man on the margins of Israel's story. Yet the ark — the very dwelling of God's glory — abided under his roof for three months. And Scripture records he was blessed because of it (2 Samuel 6:11).
Grace has a way of settling where the powerful hesitate.
