**Genesis 47:1** โ€” *"So Joseph went and told Pharaoh: 'My father and my brothers, with their flocks and herds and all they own, have come from the land of Canaan and are now in Goshen.'"*

Notice what Joseph does first. He goes to Pharaoh. Not to settle his family, not to find them housing โ€” he reports to his covenant of responsibility before he tends to his kindred.

This is the mark of a faithful steward: he honors the authority entrusted to him even in a moment of deep personal joy. Joseph's father is *alive*. His brothers stand before him. Yet he walks first into Pharaoh's court with a clear, honest account.

Stewardship does not pause for emotion. It abides through it.

Scripture reminds us that those who are faithful in their appointed place โ€” even when the heart is full โ€” are precisely the ones through whom God moves whole families from famine into provision.

Consider the stewardship you carry today, and who is waiting on your faithfulness.
