**Matthew 13:15** โ€” *"For this people's heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them."*

Jesus quotes Isaiah here โ€” a prophet speaking to a nation that had grown comfortable with religion while remaining distant from God. The callousness He describes did not arrive suddenly. It accumulated, like scar tissue over an old wound, layer by layer, Sabbath by Sabbath.

Notice the sequence: closed eyes lead to dull ears, which silence the heart. Healing moves in reverse โ€” it begins when we yield our sight back to Him.

The Shepherd does not abandon the hardened heart. He stands at its threshold, ready to heal the moment it turns.

Walk with Scripture today not as familiar territory, but as living ground โ€” and let the Word find what familiarity may have covered over.
