**Genesis 41:30** โ€” *"but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in the land of Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will devastate the land."*

Joseph didn't receive this word to frighten Pharaoh โ€” he received it to equip him. The famine was coming regardless. The revelation was an act of mercy, not dread.

This is how God's foreknowledge works as covenant grace: He does not withhold hard truth from those He is preparing to steward it. Joseph could have softened the warning. He didn't. A faithful steward names what is coming and builds while there is still time.

Abundance has a way of silencing wisdom. The seven full years would feel like forever. They never do.

Scripture reminds us that the prepared soul is not the one who feared the famine least โ€” but the one who took the warning most seriously while the harvest was still full.

Consider the storehouses you are called to build today.
