**Leviticus 6:23** โ€” *"Every grain offering for a priest shall be burned completely; it is not to be eaten."*

The priest could not keep what he offered. That is the weight of this verse.

Where the Israelite layperson's grain offering was partially consumed by the one who prepared it, the priest's offering belonged entirely to the altar. His role before God demanded a different standard โ€” not because God valued him less, but because consecration costs more where responsibility runs deeper.

Consider the steward who leads others toward God. The covenant he carries is not a private resource. His offering โ€” his time, his counsel, his very formation before the Lord โ€” is consumed in service, not stored for personal comfort.

This is not burden. This is the shape of sacred calling.

Walk with that truth today. Let it reframe what you carry, and for whom you carry it.
