**Job 9:24** โ€” *"The earth is given into the hand of the wicked; He blindfolds its judges. If it is not He, then who is it?"*

Job does not whisper this. He declares it from the ash heap โ€” body broken, world upended โ€” and still he aims his theology *upward*. Not toward comfort. Toward sovereignty.

This is not a verse about despair. It is a verse about intellectual honesty before God. Job refuses to sanitize what he sees: corrupt courts, injustice enthroned, the wicked prospering. And rather than abandon his covenant faith, he presses it harder โ€” *if not You, then who?*

That question is not rebellion. It is the deepest form of trust โ€” the kind that refuses cheap answers and still will not let go of God.

Scripture reminds us that the shepherd who walks through the valley does not pretend the darkness is light. He walks *through* it, eyes fixed on the One who holds even the darkness in His hand.

Consider the weight of that fidelity.
