**Jeremiah 25:15** โ€” *"Take from My hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it."*

A cup. Handed directly from God to a trembling prophet.

This is not metaphor softened for comfort โ€” this is divine commission with weight. Jeremiah did not choose the message. He received it, held it, and carried it to nations who would not welcome him. The cup was not his to refuse or dilute.

Stewardship of hard truth is its own calling. Some are sent not with words of consolation, but with words that disturb โ€” precisely because God's covenant faithfulness includes His justice. Mercy and wrath are not opposites in Scripture; they are the full character of a God who takes His people seriously.

Walk with the prophets long enough, and you begin to understand: the hardest messages to deliver are often the most loving ones.

Let us reflect on what we have been asked to carry โ€” and whether we have set it down too soon.
