**Ezekiel 6:14** โ€” *"I will stretch out My hand against them, and wherever they live I will make the land a desolate waste, from the wilderness to Diblah. Then they will know that I am the LORD."*

Ezekiel spoke to a people who had confused tolerance with covenant faithfulness โ€” who assumed God's silence meant God's approval.

The phrase *"then they will know"* is the hinge of the entire passage. Judgment here is not the end of the story. It is the severe mercy of a God who would rather strip away every false comfort than allow His beloved to dwell in permanent deception.

Diblah marked the farthest boundary โ€” no corner of the land untouched, no illusion left standing.

Scripture reminds us that God's discipline is not abandonment. It is the shepherd's rod redirecting the sheep who have wandered far beyond the fold.

Consider the places in your own life where silence has been mistaken for permission.
