**1 Corinthians 4:11** โ€” *"To this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed, we are brutally treated, we are homeless."*

Paul wrote this not as a complaint โ€” but as a credential.

The Corinthians prized comfort, status, and spiritual abundance as signs of God's favor. Paul answered them with a list of wounds. His apostleship was authenticated not by what he had accumulated, but by what he had willingly endured for the sake of the covenant he carried.

This cuts against every prosperity-shaped expectation we quietly bring to our walk with God. The shepherd who leads through valleys does not promise a shortcut around them.

Beloved, suffering does not signal abandonment. Sometimes it signals appointment.

Walk with that truth today โ€” let it settle into whatever hardship you are sojourning through โ€” and consider what it might mean that God entrusts His most faithful stewards not with ease, but with endurance.
