Saul's campaigns were real. His courage was genuine. But Proverbs 21:31 reminds us: *"The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord."* And 1 Samuel 15:23 would later declare his disobedience a deeper defeat than any battlefield could reveal.
A steward may win every visible contest and still forfeit the covenant that made winning meaningful.
The question is never simply *what* we accomplish — but *from where* we lead, and *toward Whom* we walk.
