**Genesis 22:11** โ *"Just then the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, 'Abraham, Abraham!' 'Here I am,' he replied."*
Notice what Abraham does not say. He does not say *"One moment"* or *"Let me reconsider."* The wood is laid. The knife is raised. And when heaven speaks his name โ twice, with urgency โ his answer is immediate: *Here I am.*
The Hebrew *hineni* carries more than location. It signals full presence, full surrender, full readiness. Abraham had walked with God long enough that obedience had become his posture, not merely his decision.
This is the fruit of covenant faithfulness โ not a single dramatic act, but a life so attuned to the Shepherd's voice that *hineni* rises without hesitation.
Scripture reminds us that God still calls names. The question worth sitting with today is whether our lives are positioned to answer the same way.
Walk with Him close enough that *here I am* comes naturally.
