**Exodus 19:17** โ *"Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain."*
Notice what Moses did not do โ he did not send a memo, appoint a committee, or leave Israel to find their own way. He *brought* them. He walked ahead, and the people followed to the threshold of the holy.
This is the shepherd's calling in its most elemental form: not merely to speak *about* God from a comfortable distance, but to lead others *toward* Him โ to the place where the ground trembles and the voice of the Almighty is near enough to be feared and loved at once.
The foot of the mountain is not a metaphor. It is a specific place of surrender, of standing small before something immeasurably greater.
Walk with someone this week to the foot of their mountain โ and let them know they do not stand there alone.
