**Esther 1:19** β€” *"let it be recorded in the laws of Persia and Media so that it cannot be repealed…"*

A decree written in stone. No appeal. No mercy. No room for restoration.

This is the logic of human power β€” permanent, self-protecting, and blind to its own brittleness. Xerxes believed he was securing his throne. He was simply exposing its fragility.

Scripture reminds us that every covenant written by human hands carries an expiration. But the covenant written in Christ's blood β€” that one holds. *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). No court can repeal it. No edict can exile you from His presence.

Vashti lost her royal position to a decree she never signed. We, beloved, have been welcomed into a Kingdom by a decree we could never earn.

Walk with that truth today β€” and consider what it means to dwell under a mercy that cannot be overturned.
